John
McInnes 1804 * James McInnes ???? * James McInnes 1875* James McInnes 1907
James McInnes was born Lawn Market, Edinburgh, to John McInnes and Christina Scott. , His birth certificate has not been found !!? |
McInnes |
I have been
searching for James McInnes’s birth year for
some time now. It became difficult because our James was not very
honest about
his age. Certificates I have range him between 1838 to 1845 (an example is in census
1871 age 33 census 1881 age 36).I decided I needed a professional; I
emailed a
professional geologist at Scots family and asked their advice. They have confirmed
James McInnes didn’t get registered so doesn’t have a birth
certificate. |
|
I’m going to use an est. of 1842. My reason for estimate | |
My records show James doesn’t appear in the 1841 census with the rest of his family, and with the age given on his death certificate. |
John & Christina's children All born Midlothian ,Scotland |

By 1851 Christina has died (1845) and, John still living in Edinburgh has none off the children staying with him.
