History| The Name McInnes Strings comes from the strings of a guitar.the guitar played a big part in my life, I have fond Memories as a young child,of my father singing and playing the guitar, then my memories as a teenager,off my cousins from Edinburgh playing guitar .Then as an older teenager going all over to gigs to see them playing in there bands. |  | ||
| How my research started it was a curiosity with some letters that belonged
to great granny Gourlay. She was trying to find information on the Anderson’s
family from Orkney and was interested in the Orcadian newspaper this got me underway
and wondering what the connection was. I
started by asking family members if they knew anything or had any documents or
Photographs that may help. (Thanks to all that helped)I then did some searching
through the Scotlands People collecting a few certificates on the way. The Connection worked out as My Grandmother was the great great granddaughter of Magnus Anderson Founder of the Orcadian in Orkney. | |||
